What's your main instrument?
Piano. My parents started me on piano when I was 7, and around 12, I really started to love the instrument and excel at it.
What's your musical origin story? What lit the spark for you?
My parents are both music teachers and are probably my biggest inspirations as to why I do music today.
Can you share a good gig story?
One gig was very close to my house and I kept forgetting little things like cables and microphones and my guitar pickups ended up breaking halfway through the set. So, I ended up driving back and forth from my house and the gig location 5 times in the span of 3 hours.
Tell us about your practice routine and share some practice tips.
Just do it. The hardest part of practicing is picking up your instrument and starting. I have all of my guitars and piano setup in my living room and every time that I pass through my living room I have to sit down and practice for at least 20 minutes or so. Throughout the day it really adds up. When I have gigs coming up I try to practice at least 1-2 hours a day just to prep my voice and fingers for everything I would have to do for the gig.
What drew you to the Music House team?
The flexibility and desire for learning that the community here has. In my experience, not all students want to learn. That is not the case at Music House. The students here are driven to learn and held to high expectations while also having a good time making music!
