For the past year Alex Dergal has been living in Overland Park while teaching in the Blue Springs school district. Directing most of his energy at Brittany Hill and Paul Kinder Middle Schools, Alex also occasionally performs with the Kansas City Symphony as a substitute musician. Before living in Kansas, Alex received degrees from the Yale School of Music and Oberlin Conservatory, where he refined both his performing and teaching skills. Since teaching private music lessons is Alex’s favorite thing to do, he could not be more excited to be joining the team at Music House! In his free time Alex spends time with his two dogs, reads American history and recites poetry.
