Drum Lessons at Music House
At Music House, our private drum lessons are part of a reimagined, modern approach to learning. Let's face it, drums are designed to be played with others. That's why our drum lesson curriculum moves students into real musical situations within the first couple of months of learning. From there, students are encouraged to perform in our auditorium, join one of our Workshop Bands, and jam with a full professional band at our monthly jam sessions. The combination of our innovative curriculum, experienced faculty, and countless opportunities for musical exposure creates an ideal environment for any budding drummer. There's nothing else like Music House in Kansas City.
Drum lessons are available at our Overland Park, Lenexa, & Prairie Village locations.
How do I sign up?
To sign up, call us at 913-562-4112 or click here to enroll. Some upper level workshops may require a brief evaluation by a program manager. Placement in non-beginner group classes may also require a brief in-person evaluation.
Do I need my own instrument?
Yes. For Core Classes, Workshops, and Private Lessons you will need your own instrument to practice with. The only instruments we provide at Music House are drums, pianos, microphones, and amplifiers.
Do you rent instruments?
No, but many local music stores close by rent and sell instruments. Call us for recommendations.
Will I need any materials?
Some lessons and classes may require materials like books and metronomes in addition to your instrument. If you're unsure of what to bring, never fear! We'll stay in touch prior to your first lesson if you have any questions.
