Nick grew up playing guitar, bass, and brass instruments before discovering a love for the piano as a teenager. A lifelong Kansas resident, Nick attended Blue Valley High and is a Music House Alum! After high school, Nick studied jazz and music theory at the University of Kansas. He spent his time there playing piano, low brass, and as many other instruments as possible. If you have an old flute or upright bass that you want to get rid of, let him know - he'll gladly take it off your hands.

Nick continues to be active in the Kansas City and Lawrence music scenes. He has a wide variety of performance experience, and has played in everything from jazz combos and cover bands to barbershop quintets and full-sized symphonies. As such, he is passionate about a wide variety of music and will gladly dive into any genre with his students. Just ask!
